Future Plans
So I am stoked on life at the moment I was hanging with my friend Aaron Pang today playing Marimba and it was really fun. I think college is a great way to learn but I am honestly a hands of learner and the systems and lectures that they offer me to compose do not correspond very well.. I mean I can learn about chords progressions, harmony and counterpoint by learning from books and just composing on my guitar.. learn through composing rather than lectures… Yeah that’s what I want. So next year I am probably going to be learning some Recording Arts and electives/ensembles so I can start a band release records and go on tour.. All my friends right now are amazing we hung out last night and watched “El Tupo” meaning the Mole in Spanish it was a really violent movie with lots of twists, symbolism and metaphors.. kinda scary really. But after we all hung out and sang Beatles songs and I talked to my friend Ismael about music composition styles.. and It seems so linear and dynamic and freeing.. I don’t want to follow rules to compose and styles and trends and la ti do.. ugh I just write music. If I ever was to write something with many instruments I would either learn to conduct or play an instrument and get someone else to conduct.. the system these days is so standardizing. So I am probably going to graduate and start teaching AC/DC to kids immediately. Take some loans or save up for next year.. move into a place where I can record freely just stand up in the world and whatnot..
